When walking up to the ground from tapas we both agreed that it would be raining any minute. You could feel it and the sky was turning. We were all in 3/4s and T shirts, of course. The lower west stand got it the worst. We were ok – back of MH upper. But it was raining hard out on the pitch. The bolt of lightening we saw after about an hour, about 3 miles south east of the ground, was a massive vertical bolt. 3 seconds later there was an enormous ‘crack’. Everyone jumped. It was very loud. Much, much louder than a regular thunder.
