BUT, boycotting worldwide brands doesn’t work. How many times have you received the boycott BP and Esso email? It doesn’t work. I wish it did, but it doesn’t. And I love diet coke as well 😉 . Well, that is making light (no pun – coke light) of the situation, but in seriousness boycotting wouldn’t work. BUT, pressure at government level would be different. If adidas and coke were pressured from the US Congress and British government then that could see some action. The US guy, Chuck whatsisname, was the whistle-blower on the corrupt trinidad guy, and he has asked for reform and a delay in the election. Now that could work.
As for Brazil in 2014 – did you know that it is Blatter’s son’s company who has all the media and broadcasting rights to that tournament…?
The whole fkn thing smells. Every fkkr doesn’t like FIFA, but we all love the world cup. I personally love it (even still now, despite the humiliation in South Africa). The 150 nothing nations, who want as much cash as they can get, bent or otherwise, should not be deciding anything, in my book.
