Just back from the Bridge.
League cup or not – we were sh1t. 2nd team or not – we were sh1t. Waste of money is the least of the problems.
Lukaku is nowhere near ready. Bertrand needs play time too – and he’s supposed to be Cole’s replacement. Luiz frightens the life out of me, and goes awol. A liability. He was down at the corner flag in front of me more than once. Alex not reliable enough – and there wasn’t a centre back in sight for their goal. Well, Luiz appeared late and ran across, belatedly, after Bertrand had tried to play offside despite there being 3 others playing them on. Turnbull is 2nd choice, and we can see why. Bosingwa still gets a game. Amazing. Mind you, it was the 2nd team. Lampard was the only first team choice (and that includes torres) and he didn’t figure in the game at all. I forgot he was playing. Malouda had a sh1t game – also unnoticeable. Torres was sh1t. Sh1t. A poor performance. I don’t care what cup it was or what team was out – they were representing Chelsea, and we were sh1t.
I will point out that the game must’ve meant alot to the scousers – 6k fans filled the Shed. What the fkk is that about? Does a small cup mean alot to them now, then? It’s difficult to sound off as it will sound like sour grapes, but I’d sooner pick up 3 points at newcastle on Saturday than win that tonight – but we don’t do that, either.
One point on carroll – he’s a cheating twat. He spent all the game on the floor pretending to be fouled. A fkn cheat. Well, until the 2nd goal went in – he didn’t go down after that. But I’m not sure who’s worse – him or torres. And bellamy is a knt. He always will be.
But, as I said, it’s difficult to sound off when you lose as it comes across not as it is meant to. We were crap – 2nd team or not. The only positive can be if we lose at newcastle and then at home to valencia next tuesday – that’ll be the season over and Boas will be down the road. It’s not all bad, then.
