yes, well done scousers. Must feel good – wembley again, after all these years. Even if it is only the two-bob league cup. But it’s a start. A start on the long trail back to top 4 and ECL competing again. Don’t forget your history.
I was thinking, whilst listening to the crowd celebrate like they’d just beaten barca in a euro final, that getting to wembley to play cardiff for the cup no-one bothers about (up to this season for most, anyway), that since you scousers last won anything the mighty Chelsea have picked up 3 PL titles and 3 FA Cups. Just a thought. One can see why many teams, like the Chels’, field their 3rd teams for the 4-round competition. You’ll see what I mean if you ever start winning 50% of the PL titles and 3 out of 4 FA cups. Although I doubt that will ever happen for you.
I wish you luck at wembley. League cup or not, it’s a day out for you after so long of nothing except self pity. It’s obvious how happy and joyful the scousers are at getting to wembley. really. Best of luck.
The scousers have been out of the action for so long. Even wenger put a team out this year as it was his only hope of getting anything.
Let’s hope cardiff don’t do what b’ham did to arse when they thought it was in the bag. arse haven’t won anything for years as well, so they know how u feel better than anyone.
And for the record, i honestly forgot who’d knocked us out the fkn thing when i started writing this post. lol. i ain’t joking, so i’ll take some egg on my face. but then again, maybe that puts the thing in its place.
i just want 4th place this year and am unfortunately thinking we ain’t gonna do it.
