Just home. Wandsworth traffic shit. 4 lanes to one. Laughable.
Listened to talkSport on way home. Inevitably they spoke about howard the manc webb. Both pens were soft, but they said they had seen the first one given before, but often not. The second was very soft, with tripping over rather than a trip, so to speak. The contact wasn’t to the attacking player. haven’t seen them yet, but will watch MotD2 if I can bring myself to.
Everyting about the manc team, the way they behave, react to every decision, get in ref’s face after every decision, try and get players booked, red-nose animations on the touchline – it’s all mind games and will win decisions. We just sat back and let it all happen. Everything about that game is what makes me not want to go. Really. Exciting for a neutral? Yes, i epxect so, but for thoise of us on the end of the decisions and having to watch the behaviour of those cheating manc knts, it’s hard. This isn’t sour grapes – really – I’d have taken a draw before the game. But we played far better than I expected. Torres could’ve finished the game off. Well, there were numerous chances to do just that. But we didn’t, and webb made sure the mancs got their chance to get back into the game. twice.
On talkSport they were joking at the red-nose after game comments. He went on a defensive attack, they said, berating officials and the ref for not giving him 4 soft penalties. They played his comments. Everything about him, that team, and their bigoted fans puts me off the game. Honestly.
But we don’t deserve anything this season, anyway, so we’ll get what we deserve – nothing. Not even 4th place. That’s our fault.
Oh, and the Brazilian restaurant was ok, for those wondering. But nothing to write home about. Lots and lots of meats came round on big skewers, with th waiters cutting the meat on to your plate. Most was nice. But I’m well full up.
Time for a tea. And cake. 😉
