Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard offered £250,000-a-week to join Chinese side Guizhou Renhe
Chinese Super League side Guizhou Renhe have launched an audacious bid to sign Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand.
The England duo have been offered £250,000 a week each to persuade them to quit the Premier League this summer.
Guizhou chairman Wang Guolin told the Sun: ‘I want the best team in China and we are prepared to invest a lot of money to bring Ferdinand and Lampard to us.
“Many people here watch the Premier League and know how good the two players are.”
Shanghai Shenhua, who signed Nicolas Anelka at the beginning in the season, also want Lampard’s Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba.
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has also been promised a £300,000-a-week windfall after tax if he is prepared to take over, but he is expected to snub the approach to stay in Europe.
