I predicted this would happen – despite only being given 31k tickets for the semi final the tickets can’t sell out to season tkt holders and members. No-one gives a fukk about the FA cup anymore.
ST Holders and members can purchase an extra 2 tickets (max of 3 in total).
Shame. The bubble’s burst, and it’s possibly deflating quicker at the Bridge than the other top clubs. Other mid-table clubs are struggling to fill their stadium each week, and those at the bottom look half empty. We sell out every week, but the tickets are now ending up on general sale far more often.
It also shows how complacent we can be. How fickle we can be. I recall semi finals not too long ago that were big celebrations. Up at villa park in ’95, for example, where we lost 2-1 to tha mancs. The mancs didn’t sell their allocation as they were used to success and it didn’t seem as important. We are there now – we can’t even sell out at wembley – just down the road.
On the other hand, of course, i bet they’re mugging each other up at shite lane for tickets. Let’s see if they can be at the top for 10 years and get used to a few FA Cup wins and PL titles. Or will they fade away after this season…?
