The arse fans are torn between the jealousy of Chelsea winning anything (the last thing they won was the now mediucre fa cup, which was on penalties against the mancs 7 years ago), and on the other hand the fact that the lot from shite lane would miss out on the ECL next season if we did win in Munich. Gooner dilemma!
But me thinks they’ll all want us to get beaten as everyone expects sp*rs to have a worse season next year. Yes, we do. Your ‘arry is mediocre, to be truthful, and the best 3 players want out, with the one of them who scores the goals probably returning to city if he doesn’t get the vastly inflated wages he wants, and currently gets. Bale & Modric do not want to stay – they don’t – BUT ECL is a decent consolation if Levy does dig his heels in. Bale wants Barca – imagine that – playing for Barca. Of course he’d want to tell his grandkids that. And why shouldn’t he?
Should the unthinkable happen and we win in Munich I’d guess/speculate that Levy will have a hard job on his hands keeping the only 3 players that are really worth decent wedge at shite lane. That’s my opinion – I promise I’m not having a dig (despite just getting back from the pub).
arse, on the other hand, managed to possibly keep van persie with those lucky goals against west brom. Yes, that one final game of the season could’ve been enough. Had arse come 4th and we won in munich then he’d have gone. No doubt. And without him they’re mid-table.
Again, just my honest opinion.
And of course we need serious additions, too. My summary of the squad shows that, so I’m not just throwing stones. It will, of course, be much easier to attract the odd replacement if we do win on Saturday, that’s for sure. Fingers crossed.
