I’ve been reading bulletin boards, and have seen the nasty jibes from gooners…
One can feel the bitterness that is obviously present when these gooners are typing their spiteful comments on Roman & buying trophies and that players are being paid too much, which is fkking the game. Maybe understandably so. They are correct, as we all are, in that the money that is given to players is obscene, and this does, in the most, prevent any real loyalty to a club. There are exceptions, agreed, but not many. But they are jealous and it hurts. They want to see their club win trophies but whilst they don’t spend money they won’t.
By the time the new season starts they’ll be seeing their dutch hero playing for someone else. Will arse really keep him for the final year of his contract, knowing that he won’t be signing another one? Or is it best to try and get a decent price for him now that can go towards a world class replacement? Mind you, they’ve bought a couple of strikers, so maybe they already knew some time ago?
One can sit and gloat at arse’s predicament, maybe even smirk at the thought they will fall out the top 4. But we could also look at it and conclude that arse have brought it upon themselves. They have chosen not to invest – even when money was available.
Van Persie is a proven world class striker. He now seems to have finally rid himself of his annual 3 months’ injury break and completed a record season. He’s had a record 12 months. A top, top player who wants to win something. Anything, it seems – and it ain’t happening at arse.
I have said before that for the last 7 years he’s been at arse he’s had to watch Chelsea pick up 3 PL trophies, 4 FA Cups, 2 league cups and old Big Ears himself – the ECL winners’ trophy. He wants some of that. Man city look favourites? Or possibly Barca or Madrid? Just guessing.
