Yes, Brighton beat the European Champions 3-1 in the last pre-season friendly for the Blues. Chelsea have now lost their last 3 games on the bounce.
I watched the game on Chelsea TV (myp2p) and it was all negative comment from Cundy. And to think I was upset at having to offload my tickets.
We were poor. Poor at the back. Didn’t create chances. Torres had one chance from 8 yards & skied it. Lamps scored a good goal on 35mins, but Brighton were level on 38 and leading on 44 mins. A late addition in 2nd half made it 3-1. Hazard looked like he didn’t know where to go. Terry was at fault for first goal. And Meireles lost ball for 2nd goal and was promptly substituted at half time with Mikel coming on for him. Terry went off early in 2nd half for David ‘side show bob’ Luiz to come on. Torres went off on 78mins for Lukaku, who wasn’t seen after he came on. Very poor all round.
If we defend like that next week at Villa Park against City we’ll get beaten by a cricket score. I bet they’re laughing if they’ve watched what I just saw.
