Terry’s service has been 2nd to none – the stats show that. He’s a captain, a leader, and a legend. He honestly is.
Crap can be thrown his way, whether it’s ‘cos he sh*gged Bridgey’s ex-girlfriend without much complaint from bridgey’s ex-girlfriend (by all accounts), who incidentally had already sh*gged half a dozen of the Chelsea squad before Bridgey got snared (allegedly), and this much publicised incident against the drug cheat’s brother at the shepherd’s bush shack last season, which he was found not guilty of at court.
Terry is past his best, agreed, but still gives decent service at the Bridge. I will repeat that he is past his best of 3-6 seasons ago, when he was up there with the best. Cahill, Jaggy, Lescott, Caulker and others can step up to the plate now for England. The World cup is two years away yet, and Terry will be even slower then, and he knows that.
I’d say he has saved Woy the problem of having to tell him he won’t be playing, imo.
But the FA are still a bunch of wnkrs.
