Fireworks explode in crowd in China
Around one hundred spectators were injured during a fireworks display in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou after some of the rockets fell into the crowd.
Nearly one hundred spectators were injured during a fireworks display at the opening of the West Lake International Expo on Saturday in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou.
A scurry of fireworks, which organisers billed as low-altitude and low-pollution, fell into the audience standing by the Grand Canal, injuring at least one hundred people.
The injured were taken to hospital with skin burns.
Five people remain in hospital for observation and further treatment of their wounds.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
