Anti-social media: Kyle Walker deletes his Twitter account after being abused by his own fans
Ashley Cole also enjoyed sparring with Sp*rs fans this afternoon
Kyle Walker deleted his Twitter account after receiving abuse from his own fans in the wake of T*ttenham’s 4-2 defeat at home to Chelsea.
The defender followed up a poor showing for England in mid-week with an error-strewn performance for his club, and was roundly abused by T*ttenham fans because of it.
Walker fired off two angry Tweets in response before quitting the social media platform altogether to stop himself getting into trouble.
He posted: “Would love to know what I’m doing so different I give 100% every game and still u something to say I’m 22 and learning #embarrassing.
“If I said what I thought to these people I would get done humans make mistakes it was 90mins and I though a foul end off!!!!”
Chelsea defender Ashley Cole also sparred with Sp*rs fans on Twitter. After one user posted that he hoped Cole and John Terry enjoyed their trip to ‘hell’ today, the full-back replied:
“Why all you spud fans coming for me now, little to late aint it, I didn’t know hell was silent!!!!! #CANTWAITTOGOBACK”
