Disgusting Chelsea are trying to kill Mark Clattenburg, claims Neil Warnock
Chelsea would not have complained about Mark Clattenburg if they had beaten Manchester United. That’s the view of Leeds manager Neil Warnock, who has accused Stamford Bridge officials of “disgusting” behaviour.
Clattenburg is the subject of an FA investigation over allegations he called John Obi Mikel a “monkey” and Juan Mata a “Spanish t**t” during the stormy finale to their clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. And today, the Metropolitan Police confirmed it will its launch own investigation into the referee’s conduct.
Clattenburg, whose career will be over if the charge are upheld, had incensed Chelsea during the 3-2 defeat by showing a second yellow card to Fernando Torres for diving and allowing Javier Hernandez’s winning goal to stand when he was offside.
