We have gone thru’ 9 managers in 10 years, I think. Although 4 have been caretakers, of course. But facts are facts. It’s a little embarrassing, but of the 5 permanent appointments, one was obviously already in place (Ranieri) and there was better to come in (Jose), then there were wrong appointments (except Ancelotti) – and Roman acted quickly. If you think Scholari would have been better to hang on to see his contract thru’ then you’re wrong – he lost the dressing room in a fortnight. As for B*as – FFS – we would never even have beaten Birmingham in the FA cup replay, never mind put 4 past Napoli.
But all the jibes on the tv and radio at how many managers we go thru’ is a bit embarrassing, I feel. I don’t mind saying it. BUT – we do win trophies.
Maybe sticking with the same one, past his sell by date, and continue to win naff all each year, is the way to go? I’ll need to ask an arse[nal] fan the answer to that one.
