Drunk too much yesterday. A long day. But it wasn’t a bad day out. We were up there early – no traffic to speak about – and in the bar before 1.30. Got on it and had a good drink. Even jagerbombs were chasing the beer (which I was to later regret).
The footie was split into 3. They played the first 2/3rds and we watched, then we played the last 1/3rd and they watched. I will not mention the QPR-Chelsea ref Chris Foy, other than he may look again later on and think he should have handled one or two decisions differently. I can’t stand him. Maybe he knows?
Yaya Toure could be the best midfielder in the PL. Obi Mikel is not even close – he’s miles and miles away. Although without the ref and one or two bounces that went their way, it could easily have been different, or at least extra time.
Yawn.
But at least we all came home not too bothered (is that wrong?) as we’ve all got complacent and we don’t want FSW to win anything at Chelsea. Yes, we want to win every game, and every cup, but it doesn’t hurt as much. Sorry to say that. FSW has made a big difference to my attitude, almost to the point where I genuinely do not want to win anything at all, just so he can’t say he won something at Chelsea. We had such a good season last year that it’s difficult to get too upset over an fa cup game that could end up messing the league position up.
But we really do need 4th place, and looking at the calender and fixtures we will struggle. I think we will struggle. Especially when Arse are given 85th min penalties by linesmaen 45 yards away. 😉
But at least another cup game isn’t there for us to think about. Amd I’ll be another £200 better off. !! (clutching at straws…?). And, as silly as it sounds, we’ve won 4 out the last 6 FA cups, so 4 out of 7 will wash ok. And that is not sour grapes. It is most definitely not. Others may feel the same (?). I’ll repeat that I want to win everything, as most do, but accept that we can’t, and whilst that FSW is at the helm maybe we’re not supposed to.
I got home to a nice roast dinner – yum – it was waiting for me to nuke for 3 minutes when I got home. Very nice. Rounded it all off – making the day ending a pleasant one all-in-all. Fulham away on Wednesday. Scousers away on Sunday. Up the Chels’.
Win or lose, up the Blues.
