Media rumours? Yes, probably. But if Madrid do come calling maybe the cannibal’s head may get turned. Ok, last close season he had the hump due to his punishment for trying to eat the opposition, but the scousers stood by him in true local style with no morals and talked him into staying so he didn’t go to arse. Mind you, the extra quid on a fictitious buy-out clause didn’t cut it, anyway.
But, if he does fkk off to Madrid then they’ll be relying on that twat with attitude. He has his head up his own arse most of the time, so they’ll need to get someone else in too. They always get lucky with strikers, even back in the day, so they’ll probably get just as good replacement, I suppose. But I’m not sure that’s enough.
But they need to go all out to win their last two games as I don’t reckon they’ll be on such a wonderful run next season in the latter stages. They have been rather fortuitous with results, to say the least, and extra ‘help’, too. This needs to be the scousers’ year, I say. They need to pray their city rivals can do the business next weekend. It’ll be theirs, then. They’ll finally win the PL. And it’s the 38 games that count at the end, not what went wrong, no matter how it went wrong.
