All this gloating over Terry’s tears at the end is a bit pathetic. It was probably his last chance, if we look at it, and it shows his passion. More than probably his last chance.
But he hasn’t done too bad in his years at Chelsea. I feel privileged to have been present for his whole career, starting with his pairing with the master, Marcel. His debut was in October ’98, but he did a short loan at Forest before becoming a regular from 2000. He has been established since, and took over as the main man from Marcel in ’04-’05.
Terry has many haters, and some may they have their reasons. One or two may be valid, but most is just nasty, green-eyed envy and bitterness. He did an excellent job for England as player and Captain, and has had an excellent season this season. He’s won many awards and trophies, has lots of medals, and is till ranked by many as the best centre back in the PL this season. Not a bad accolade.
Even the haters would probably have all liked him in their team for the last 14 years.
